Backup Your Account
There are several options available to you for backing up your data:
- Psyphire maintains a daily automated backup of your account.
- Using cPanel (Files > Backup), you can download the following to your computer:
- A full backup of your account
- Your MySQL databases
- Your email forwarders
- Your email filters
Backup Applications (e.g. Wordpress, Drupal, etc.)
You can automatically schedule a weekly backup of your applications to a remote location that you configure (such as a FTP site or Dropbox account).
- Click the wrench button near the application you want to backup
- Under “Default Backup Location,” select “Add a new backup location”
- Configure the settings for your new backup location
- Under “Automatic Backup,” select whether you want to automatically create a backup or not
- Save the settings
If you want to create a backup now at the new remote location:
- Click on the arrow pointing right (just to the right of the wrench)
- Define a label
- Click “Backup”
Restoration
There are several options available to you for restoring your data:
- If you wish to restore the automated daily backup that Psyphire maintains, please open a support ticket with a request to restore this backup
- Using cPanel (Files > Backup, or Files > Backup Wizard), you can restore the following from backups you have previously saved to your computer:
- Your MySQL databases
- Your email forwarders
- Your email filters
